Speaking / Blogging

I’ve been fortunate enough to write articles and blog for a number of high profile websites and newspapers over the past few years.
My articles have appeared in periodicals such as the Georgia Straight, a Vancouver newspaper with a weekly readership of over 800,000.
I’ve also written original articles for blogs based all over the world, from Australia to the United Kingdom, Germany and of course
Canada and the United States. I’ve given virtual talks and taught workshops via Skype to writers groups and book fairs
all over North America. And, I’ve had the honor of speaking at a number of live events too.

I’d love to give a presentation to your group or write for your blog.
Whether it’s via Skype, in person, or by writing an article specifically for you I’d like to help!

“Martin is a fantastic speaker. His knowledge on self-publishing and sales is vast, and he presents it in such a way that anyone can understand. He has a sincerity that is captivating and an enthusiasm that is infectious. A self-publishing venue without Martin would be a disservice to its patrons.”

K.S. Brooks, Co-founder Indies Unlimited

“Thank you for Skyping with The Write Stuff – a small lot-of-heart writers group at our January 2014 meeting. We extend our warmth and gratitude for your time and knowledge.”

Leah Sanderson, librarian, Drayton Valley, Alberta

“Thanks again for participating in the festival! You were fantastic and the audience really appreciated your insights.”

Heidi Schiller, Librarian, North Vancouver Library

“(You were) probably one of the most interesting guests I’ve had on the show. Please come back when book#3 is out but relax and enjoy your much deserved successes too.”

Pam Stack, Host Author on the Air Radio

“…entertaining to read, it also shed some light on the inner workings of the author’s mind. The post drove a lot of traffic to my blog and still does. Martin not only writes in a way that captivates the audience, he’s also spot on in his conclusions.”
